Established in 1967, PBEC was established to be a bridge between government and business; to bring attention to the opportunities and potential of an emerging Asia that sought the same prosperity and growth accorded to a post-war Europe and the US. Fifty years old this year, PBEC and its members have been witness and partner to the extraordinary development of this region. Our story is also closely aligned to that of APEC, as its progenitor. Our role as the independent voice of responsible business and trade across Asia and the Pacific continues to bring value to our Members and the societies in which they operate.
